expectations vs. results
more than often, when people are aware of something that is going to happen, they subconsciously visualise it in their minds even before the actual event. in the process, people do not actually know what is really going occur, but they just see what their minds want them to. from there, they predict. they expect. but when what turns out to be did not meet or match their expectations, they get upset, angry and disappointed.

i'm sick and tired of your expectations. go away.

christmas tree at my hse (credits to: JOY, mummy, auntie & me)

Christmas was HECTIC. i had celebrations 3 days continuous.

22 dec - guides (at me hse) BBQ
23 dec - the clique (at shuxian's hse) steamboat :D
24 dec - family (at me hse) BBQ

and you can imagine, after eating loads of BBQ food and countless late-sleeping nights, gwendaline is defeated by Mr. cough virus. nevertheless, she's here to blog :D

the first day: 22dec2008
PART I:food preparation

when i came back from school, mich & eunice was already here. shuxian, hani & long-time-no-see eleena joined shortly and we began the preparation! (aherm. i don't want to mention names, but SOME ppl were late. right, ellis & wanru? hahahaha)

poking chicken 'satay' (i thought it was more like kebabs than satay)

DONE! taadaa :D

meanwhile haniza & eleena were...

our beehoon was only possible thanks to them :)

(however, 好景不长 'cause...)

it became like this after a while.

we stopped cooking and allowed the younger ones to serve us (hahaha). we ate till the little nonya started.

PART II: gifts exchange
dear joy wrapped names on candy canes and hung them on the christmas tree. we each picked names and find out whose gift we're taking :D & i got... MICHELLE PNG SUMEI. i thought i was going to get a box full of straws sia. (note: insider joke)

i got a super cute watermelon plushie (points at profile pic), which functions as a laptop screen duster and wrist cushion and a nice red pencil case :D thanks mich!

PART III: camera, action!!
then we started taking loads and loads of photos with wanru's macbook:

the camwhoring session lasted almost forever. then all that was left when mahjong session ended was me and wanru still standing. we ran out of poses so we...

& hani just have to stand there (boils)

after bath we continued!

xperience pharmacy camp

back from NUS XPERIENCE PHARMACY CAMP :D

the peeps: yan ling, yan sin, jaslin, xin yi, mengsiew, lisa, box, charles, kevin, melvin, kehua, gabriel

learnt alot from the camp itself - being a pharmacist is not easy, okay. those people behind the counter in guardian and watson selling you medicine is not any 善男信女 alright? they are unigrads ! (hahas, i didn't know that)

the camp lasted 3 days. the days were like mornings - lecture, night - games. was fun :D We had supper for both 2 nights - prata for the first and mac delivery for the second. our free times were occupied by countless rounds of DAI DI.

the second night, being the last night, was our ASSHOLE DADI NIGHT. i was super lucky at first (was the king for the first 5 rounds i think) then then then. this asshole go and change the sequence. then i became the peehole. then asshole. &weepin treated us to macnuggets :D

ah-shuang is back from YANGSHUO! (hahas) it was super duper fun, and i can't believe i'm actually missing the rocks now. maybe i'll be there again next year :D (hee) selflessness rocks !

i'm quite lazy to blog about my trip now, the main purpose of me blogging is to talk about my post-trip playing days. (hoho) and i bet almost everyone who knows me can guess what i've been doing.

KBOXing SPREE

DAY ONE: ms liu, wanru & junqiang (mini odac gathering)
wanru & i reached first and began singing. me, being obsessed with 带我走 sang it twice before ms liu & junqiang came. (hahaha) we sang from like 2 - 7 plus. why so early we left, you ask. because the new kbox system blocks all the songs that you pick after the your time slot ends. which is SUPER IRRITATING. junqiang even tried to go with the flow by singing the 'superwoman' by alicia keys, but sang halfway buay ta han, then we left. (hahaha) we had like snacks, fingerfood & freeflow sprite. $14.50.

DAY TWO: joy & yisi (family get together)
from my experience from the previous day, i decided to go to the old kbox branch. (this way even if we go overtime, the songs will not be blocked) me & joy reached first. then the person told us we can only sing till 5.30pm. 7pm if there's not much customers. then when we sang halfway, the person told us we could extend our singing time to 7pm if we order a plate of fruits. we were like hesitant at first. then decided its alright. he even added fries for us. (hahahas, so nice) then after we get the receipt, we were like shocked. the fruits costed $13!! but it was alright. 'cause we sang till 9pm - exceeding two hrs. (hahahaha) and yah, i sang 带我走 4 times today. (hahahaha) total: 7 hrs of singing

and now my throat hurts :( tata, need to do reflections for ys still.

people do stuff out of good intentions. but sometimes, it is left unappreciated. i don't like things to be wasted on me. i know you dote on me alot, but i don't need it. i told you already. forcing me will only leave us upset and unhappy. learn to let go already.

eh hey! efforts have been paid off and ah-shuang is PROMOTED. (hahahas) then SOMEONE was like sending me false alarm msg. but i'm moodless now. i slept in total ard 11 hrs ytd after the camp. (omg) and i still went to school today (i feel so proud of myself). tmr they will give us the results and the new classes :( meanwhile, camp photos are not uploaded yet :(

my mum is soo cute. she took her friend's kids to jurong east swimming complex to play. she alone took care of 4 kids, and she's not very young already, okay? (hahahas) she went there to play also. one of the kiddo was super violent. keep hitting me. but i know he's playing la but still painful leh.

shuang: eh stop hitting me already, if not you'll have to marry me.
kiddo: *stops* then continues
shuang: hey! you want to marry me issit?!!
kiddo: yupp.

like omg. he's so cute la! xD i don't mind marrying him (lol!) but his mum was like saying it was me who proposed to him :(

we tidied and cleared the cca room for odac today :) had some fun pouring the water out. can't believe we're flying off next monday! its so fast. & i haven't been packing :(

OMG. it ended.
mummy, i've grown up. ah-shuang has never walked this much in her entire life. i'm so tired now and my all my toes are 'water bubbles' (aka blisters) cultivation farms. Throughout the walking, i was telling myself that i'll be in a wheelchair after this.

89% done with 2009 organiser.

Went for Bio lect today. Evolution is sooo fun. i think i'm in love with biology. (hahaha) today's BWGG's Handing Over Ceremony. Hope the new leaders can bring guides up to a higher level :D And we had dinner at ichiban sushi ! - ellis, wanru, shuxian & the long-time-no-see eugenia lau. apparently eugenia tan was busy with SOMEONE ELSE. First time i see eugenia lau finish her food (ahahahas)

wanru and i planned to do some camp shopping after dinner actually, but a very efficient member helped me & weeling got our food - thank you mr lim aka president. while waiting for wanru when she's settling stuff with ms liu, this girl was caught.

and tmr's ODAC camp! fri-sun days of fun! (hahahas!!) i'm so lazy to pack my stuff. and SOMEONE wants us to be there at 715am. ARGH. (yawning) next post will be abt camp~

it like late morning and i'm at home.

re-exams are OVER!! :D

right after that i headed to haniza's hse. and very-not-shy-ly helped myself to her hse stuff (hoho, i'm so 'helpful') we had lunch at QiJi - &omg, the popiah is nice can?

we went on to kbox and we were assigned to the same room as the last time we went there. the honey lemon drink is not bad. they served us alot of stuff can. got potato chips, tibits, french fries and nuggets. think its their business strategy, give u a lot of food, only one drink. force u buy drink. (but hahaha, i had my waterbottle)

we sang like 6 hrs - so tiring lo. (hahas) last time we sang till 8.30pm like that, then keep waiting for the people to kick us out but they nvr. we got so tired of it that we went out ourselves.

then we went shopping :D haniza bought me a notebook so that i can do up a 2009 organiser - so nice right ? :D in return, i'm doing one for her too (hahas)

reached home at ard 9 plus.
wanted to watch some movie.
after one minute, i gave up.
i felt so loved. (hahaha)
'cause darling msn was ringing with nudges.
then sent my brobro to airport
(with ulterior motive actually, hahahas).
he's going off to brunei for training :( 3 weeks!
then i'm flying off soon too.
think my mum will miss me. (lol!)
i think scze we will too :D (hahahaha)
